ANCIENT ROMAN WOMAN'S PENDANT NECKLACE, 1ST-3RD CENTURY

$185.00 Sale
These pendants were popular among common women in ancient Rome. Some have been described as prostitutes’ pendants and that view is widely published on the internet. This example is 12.6mm, just under 1/2" diameter of elongated deeply ribbed spherical or bun form which some claim is anatomical. It has been professionally refurbished with the 24karat surface restored. It is suspended on a gilt neck chain for modern wear and is gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity. Exceptional size and well modeled.
