FINE EASTERN EUROPEAN CHRISTIAN CROSS NECKLACE, 17th-18th CENTURY

Orthodox rite. Gilt bronze, 1 1/2” height. Relief decoration with raised borders and central cross with inscriptions at the beam terminals. Reverse flat with remnants of Cyrillic script. Some surface degradation from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored and on a modern gilt 18” neck chain for contemporary wear.
