FINE MEDIEVAL PILGRIM’S CROSS NECKLACE, 7TH-10TH CENTURY AD

Silvered bronze, over 1 1/2" height including the suspension loop. The crossbeam is slightly above the center and the beam terminals are slightly expanded. That feature was later adopted in expanded for the Maltese cross. The front with ghostly Medieval figure of Corpus Christi.  The back is hollow for the inclusion of a holy relic like a hair of a saint or a splinter of the cross. Professionally refurbished with the pure silver surface restored, on a fine modern Sterling silver 18” neck chain. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
