About 5/8” height, with central trefoil. Broad form with quartered edge nubs and broad border forming the cusped top. The cusped form of the heart is interpretive and iconic. The uncusped naturalistic form was popular as well and both forms are used profusely in Nordic literature. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Excellent preservation and professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold restored on gilt neck chain for modern wear. Gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
