7TH-10TH century AD. Gilt bronze, just under 1 5/8” total height. Broad slightly flared beams, the cross beam above center. Hand chiseled low relief Corpus Christi of somewhat stylized form with spread arms and charges above. Reverse recessed for the inclusion of a holy relic. The silver surface restored, on an 18” sterling silver neck chain for modern wear.
