7th-10th century AD. Gilt bronze, just over 1 5/8” (1.67”) total height. Broad flared beams, V terminal beams in the Maltese Cross fashion. The cross beam centered. Both sides plain, evidently as made, with surface degradation from burial. The silver surface restored, on an 18” sterling silver neck chain for modern wear.
