Silvered bronze, over 1 3/8” (1.40”) height of diamond form with symmetrical pierced foliage on a double bar V base. The top formed as a pentagram or star. That shape is uniform and widely used in religious art to represent the star of Bethlehem. The center of the foliage is pierced as five circles, probably a reference to the Medici coat of arms and Florence. The double bar base reinforces the concept of armorial significance.
