Gilt bronze, over ¾” width (0.79”) of high relief fleur-de-lis form. Made by the open face mold technique with 24karat gold surface on an 18” gilt silver neck chain for modern wear. The fleur-de-lis, commonly associated with France, was, at the time, a popular armorial device in many cultures. This example is almost certainly of English origin.
