Classic heart form. Slightly under 5/8" height plus the suspension loop. Made by the lost wax process. Broad border surrounding a recessed heart suspending a central third heart in its naturalistic (uncusped) form. Three hearts in one! The sixth points are nubbed as is common. That feature evidently had spiritual significance, now lost. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Surface wore from use and burial.
