Silvered bronze just under 5/8” (0.62”) width of scalloped edge lenticular form with foliate lattice piercings. Probably an armorial device, however the simplicity of this example suggests that it was worn by a household member, probably a servant, rather than an aristocrat with armorial status. Surface textured from burial, but not a funerary object. Professionally refurbished with the silver surface restored on an 18” sterling silver neck chain for modern wear. Jewelry gift boxed with certification of authenticity.
