Gilt bronze with oval bezel cut with a figure, perhaps Mercury, facing left and a silhouette. The edge outlined resulting in the form of an Egyptian royal cartouche. Egypt was occupied by Rome at the time and the connection is very possible. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
