Gilt bronze, size 9 ¼. low rounded band, 3.3mm width. Raised rectangular bezel cut with radials , superficially imitating a gemstone and blatantly advertising the intentions of the wearer. Roman prostitutes were typically adolescents, largely slaves. Prostitution was practiced openly with brothels sometimes sharing doors with libraries. Surface textured from burial.  Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
