Gilt bronze, size 10 1/2 with 4.5mm thick rounded face band supporting the large shield shaped bezel with stipple bordered edges. The field is asymmetrical with a wheel, probably representing the moon, opposite a small circle emanating radials, probably representing the sun. In Viking mythology, the sun and moon were brothers, Sol and Mani. It undoubtedly had supernatural cosmic significance, now lost.
