Gilt bronze, just under 2 5/8” (2.61”) inside dimension. Rounded section slightly tapered from the middle to the terminals which are vaguely formed as stylized serpent head and tail. Of warrior form, but lighter, it was probably the bracelet of a Viking woman warrior. It is well documented that women fought alongside men and women's burials containing swords, other weapons and armor are documented. Surface textured from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity. A substantial bracelet of classic Viking workmanship made 1000 years ago and perfectly suited for modern wear.
