Found by metal detector around 2000 at Ypres (Belgium) scene of some of the most intense fighting with English and French bringing the German advance to a stalemate. Made of aluminum salvaged from ordnance. Size 7 3/4, flat face 2.7mm band hand chiseled or engraved with line borders flanking a lattice band. Light gray surface oxidation but crisp throughout.
