17th-18th century, Orthodox rite. Gilt bronze, just over 1 1/4" (1.32") in height. Relief decorated. The front with a vacant cross surrounded by Cyrillic ciphers and charges above. Reverse bordered with Cyrillic text as with early examples. Surface texture from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored and on a modern gilt Sterling silver neck chain for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
