Slightly over 3/4” height, elegant form with addorsed reverse curves to the top, and sixth point nubs below center. The former possibly descended from the Roman litus, the scroll-shaped wand used by augurs (seers of the Roman religion) to scribe out an area of sky. Broad field with raised central cusped heart decorated with foliage. A heart within a heart! Delicately beaded surround. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold restored on a gilt neck chain for contemporary wear. Gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
