Rare Roman Sacrificial Knife Amulet, 1st-2nd Century AD
Silvered bronze, slightly over 1” length, modeled after the knives used by Roman priests for the sacrifice of small animals in Pagan rituals. See British Museum #18188.8.131.52, for a related example and our FNS4858 pictured here. Original suspension loop with coiled tail typical of Roman taste. The pure silver overlay restored and mounted to a Sterling silver neck chain for modern wear. It comes with a certification of authenticity and is jewelry gift boxed.
