RARE VARIANT CELTIC PROSPERITY RING, 5th-2nd CENTURY BC.
About 1 1/8” width. Complex form, a ridged ring with spheres at the quarter points. This and other variations are known and rarely seen. It is not certain how they accord with standard forms but are likely “over the top” variants with highly negotiable value based on their rarity and prestige. As such, it likely was a bride’s price. The 24k gold surface restored and on a modern leather chain with gilt mounts for contemporary wear, Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
