MEDIEVAL EUROPEAN PILGRIM’S CROSS, 7th-10th CENTURY
Slightly under 1” height, symmetrical with a square at the junction and incised cross motif with a saltier (St. Andrew’s cross) in the middle. Three crosses in one! Both sides identical. Carried by European Pilgrims traveling to the Holy Land to visit the land where Christ lived and died, and later by Crusaders. As found condition with glossy green patina. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
