VIKING WEDDING RING 850-950 AD SIZE 8 ¼
Silvered bronze, size 10 1/4. Provincially-crafted with low rounded face. The edges and inside with evidence of having been cast as a solid disk with the center hand carved out. It is thought that Viking warriors wore narrow rings to minimize interference with the grip of their weapons. Professionally refurbished with the silver overlay restored for modern wear. Vikings exchanged rings on the pommel of the groom’s sword. Gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
