ANCIENT EGYPTIAN AMULET MOLD
1550-1070 BC. Buff terra cotta, 1" height hollowed to produce a 5/8" amulet of "Khnum" form. Khnum is an incarnation of Ra, depicted with a ram's head. Khnum was the god of water which was central to Egyptian civilization, which relied on the Nile's flood for its annual harvest, and thus sustenance.
