8th-10th Century AD. Gilt bronze, with a 3.6mm width band, with bottom nub in the Roman tradition. Raised oval bezel, probably to act as a signet, but never inscribed as is typical. The surface is textured from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored. See the reference image which shows the process.
