ANCIENT VIKING BEARD/HAIR RING, C.850-1050 AD
Circular section with reeded edge, 2.3mm thick. 0.65" outside diameter and 0.47" inside diameter. The use of beard rings, which were also worn in the hair around the ears, by Vikings is well documented though very few genuine examples survive. Of those, decorated examples such as this are exceedingly rare. Professionally refurbished for modern wear with the 24karat gold overlay restored. Jewelry gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
