A fine example in its fully evolved form. Just OVER 5/8” height. Iconic fully developed cusped top full form. The broad raised borders forming the cusp and continuing as the top members of the central trefoil. For Vikings, the heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, all attributes of the warrior. It is said that Hrungnir, with whom Thor dueled (assisted by a sorceress), had a heart of stone. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored, on an 18” gilt Sterling silver neck chain, for modern wear. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity. Charming and particularly well preserved.
