ANCIENT VIKING WEDDING RING C.850-1050 AD, SIZE 7 3/4
Broad, flat band, 5.1mm width. The center with a delicately stippled band and a hole on one side. That feature is well known and thought to indicate that the wearer had died. See our JB16 and AA9 for other examples altered in the same way. Vikings exchanged rings on the pommel of the groom’s sword. Professionally refurbished with the silver surface restore. Gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
