17th-very early 18th century. Recovered in Connecticut and purchased outside Gales Ferry, about 1970. Plain copper band, tapering to overlapping prong terminals. Most fundamental form used when metal on its own was a novelty to the Indians, likely Mohegans in this instance. Size 6. Light encrustation from burial.
