17th-18th century. 1 3/8” height with raised cross modeled in the Eastern fashion with the vertical beam crossed both ends and with foot rest. Flamboyant surround showing Ottoman influence. Reverse with geometry and inscriptions, showing some encrustation from burial on the bottom. Eastern Europe was the Northern frontier with the Ottoman Turks at the time. Christians were captured and enslaved by the Turks.
