Late 17th century. Silvered bronze of heavy proportions with deep relief decoration of a vacant cross with crescent at the beam junctions and recesses at the beam terminals. The top and bottom of the center beam with scalloped expansions. The back flat as with early examples. Surface texture from burial. Professionally refurbished with the silver surface restored and on a modern Sterling silver neck chain for contemporary wear.
