FINE GREEK ARROWHEAD PENDANT NECKLACE, 300-100 BC
Hellenistic Period (after the death of Alexander the Great). The death of Alexander resulted in fragmentation and civil war resulting in a number of separate city-states. Slightly under 1” length plus the suspension loop. Exceptional size for these. Conical socket with triple cutting veins stopping at the 2/3 point and forming barbs. Usually lost on the battlefield and not often found in such good preservation. Excellent trilobate form. Professionally refurbished with a silver overlay and mounted on a modern Sterling silver neck chain for contemporary wear.
