FINE LARGE EASTERN EUROPEAN CROSS, 17TH CENTURY
Gilt bronze, 2 1/8” height. Slightly raised edge beams with radials or a saltire at the junction. Central relied vacant cross with the charges and footrest delineated. A saltire to the top and diamonds to the beam ends. Reverse with a roped motif forming a central diamonds and loops to the beams. Surface textured from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored and on a modern gilt Sterling silver neck chain for contemporary wear. Gift boxed with Certificate of Authenticity. Rare and large early example.
