Ancient silvered bronze artifact. Well delineated and finely detailed and shaped as a duck’s foot with a large suspension loop. A burial at Viden, Denmark contained the body of a woman of wealth and status. With her was buried henbane seeds, which have hallucinogenic properties, and a wand as well as other objects. From these, it was concluded that she was a seeress or sorceress. The grave contained a necklace hung with three duck’s feet pendants very similar to this. This example professionally refurbished with the silver refreshed and on a sterling silver chain for modern wear.
