GOOD VIKING TWISTED RING, C.866-1067 AD, SZ 8 1/2
Cambridgeshire, England. Where the Vikings first invaded and conquered the Anglo-Saxon natives. Size 8 1/2 with the relief, roped form over the top, and about 2/3 of its circumference. The spiral or helix was a favorite Viking form. Lightly textured from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored. See the reference image which shows the process. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity. Vikings exchanged wedding rings on the pommel of the groom's sword.
