LATE ROMAN/MEDIEVAL WOMAN’S PENDANT, 5TH-8TH CENTURY
Just over ½” diameter as six hemispheres surround a higher seventh. Probably a late reference to the Roman Rota Fortuna (Wheel of Fortune). That was the symbol for Fortuna and embodied the concept that fortune and therefore life, was capricious. Professionally refurbished with the silver overlay restored on sterling silver neck chain. Gift boxed with certification of authenticity.
