MEDIEVAL TOURNAMENT PENDANT 14th-16th CENTURY
Gilt bronze. 3/4" height. Squared with rolled edges for strength at minimum weight as these were worn in groups on reins and sword belts. Central armorial device hand incised. Pendants like this were worn singly and in sets by both man and horse in the tournament. This size is for a man, probably hung from a sword belt. Professionally refurbished with the gold surface restored.
