RARE COPPER VIKING RING, C.900-1050 AD, SIZE 8
Size 8. 6.3mm width with low rounded face. Made by the lost wax process. Mottled red/brown patina. Vikings were expert metallurgists. The use of pure copper is rare and suggests a supernatural significance as alloys were much more durable. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity. Vikings exchanged rings on the pommel of the groom’s sword.
