Size 9 3/4. 2.1mm width rounded face band. Fine rich red copper patina. Vikings were expert metallurgists. The use of pure copper is rare and suggests a supernatural significance as alloys were much more durable. This example has been crudely resized with an overlapping joint, suggesting that it was resized for a child on the death of its mother. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
