Just over 1” height plus the original hinged suspension loop. Broad beams, flared from the center as adopted by the Knights Hospitaller as the Maltese Cross. The cross beam centered. The front incised with a flared terminal stick cross and the back recessed for the inclusion of a holy relic such as the hair of a saint. Carried by European Pilgrims traveling to the Holy Land to visit the land where Christ lived and died as well as Crusaders fighting to recover Jerusalem from Islam.
