RARE VIKING BRACELET, C.850-1050 AD
Gilt bronze, 0.43” (11.2mm) width. C form, 2.40” inside dimension. Intriguingly decorated in an asymmetrical arrangement of panels with keyed design bands separating them. A centered elongated X flanked by a matching panel one side and circle and starburst the other. Those are followed by the reciprocal counterparts and finishing in transverse keyed panels. The arrangement obviously deliberate and of significance to the Viking artisan, now lost. Textured from burial and professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored. Jewelry boxed with certificate of authenticity. Hand crafted and worn by a Viking 1000 years ago!
