ROMAN LADY’S DRESS RING, 1st-3rd CENTURY AD, SIZE 5 1/4
Gilt bronze, size 5 1/4 with 3.0mm width deeply rounded band with the Roman nub at the bottom. The shoulders with arrowhead form trefoil, with line borders and detailed centers. Raised square banded edge bezel with inscribed border and a cluster of chisel marks including two of crescent form and two joined with a broad line. These are likely astrological reference with spiritual significance. They may well have been used as a signet. This is the ring of a lady of fashion. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored for contemporary wear. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
