Silvered bronze, just over 1 1/8” in height of flat form, profiled and pierced to represent a bunch of grapes. Grapes were the raw material for wine and wine was associated with Bacchus, the God of wine. For the Greeks, his earlier incarnation was Dionysus who was the God of fertility. That association carried on with Bacchus and this is most likely a fertility amulet. Professionally refurbished with the silver overlay restored on a Sterling silver chain for modern wear.
