11th-13th century, the period of conversion to Christianity. Old traditions, beliefs, and superstitions were blended with Christianity during the conversion of Vikings to Christianity. This heart pendant, 5/8” high is the Christian version of the traditional Viking heart with the trefoil reduced to three circles and incised border. It is professionally refurbished with the pure silver surface restored on a Sterling silver neck chain for modern wear. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity. Notably, the conversion of Vikings came about the time of the Crusades and Viking warriors fought valiantly and successfully in the First Crusade.
