VIKING WOMAN’S WEDDING RING, 9th- 11th CENTURY AD, SIZE 5
9th-11th C.AD. Gilt bronze, size 5 for the small finger as was the custom. 2.2mm width band with low rounded face. Made with a central core to distribute the molten metal and heat. The core was then laboriously removed by hand with the tool marks visible. Vikings exchanged rings on the pommel of the groom's sword. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored. Gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
