VIKING WOMAN’S WEDDING RING, 9TH-11TH CENTURY AD SIZE 7
9th-11th century AD. Gilt bronze, size 7. 4.4mm width band with a low rounded face. Cast with a central core to distribute the metal and heat. The core then laboriously removed by hand and the remnants are visible. Surface textured overall from burial. Vikings exchanged rings on the pommel of the groom’s sword. Professionally refurbished with the 24k gold overlay restored. Gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
