Silvered bronze. Over 5/8" width with a slightly raised edge defining the cusped top heart, slightly distorted to accommodate the figural center. The field with a well-delineated foliate trefoil divides it into three segments. The trefoil is a favorite theme for Viking decoration and is believed to have had spiritual significance. Professionally refurbished with the pure silver overlay restored, on a gilt neck chain, for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
