Early example of the naturalistic form with rounded top and near rounded sides. High domed naturalistic heart bordered with C form scrolls. About ¾” (0.77”) total height. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Surface very lightly textured from burial and professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored, on an 18” gilt Sterling silver neck chain for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
