Gilt bronze, size 8-8 ¼ with some slack allowed by the overlapping tip band, characteristic for Viking rings. Shield shaped bezel stipple engraved with a cluster of circles, perhaps intended to be floral, but most likely a reference to a celestial event. Of course, it could also possibly be both. It is well documented that women fought alongside men and women’s burials containing swords, other weapons, and armor are documented. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored. Gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
