FINE EASTERN EUROPEAN CHRISTIAN CROSS, 17TH-18TH CENTURY

17th-18th century, Russia/Ukraine. Gilt bronze, over 1 7/8” (1.91”) in height. Elegant form with a raised cross-centered and Cyrillic ciphers at the beam terminals. Reverse flat and plain as with earliest examples. Surface worn and textured from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored and on an 18” gilt Sterling silver mounted polished leather neck cord for modern wear.
