Gilt bronze, over 3/4” (0.77”) height plus the suspension loop. Heart form made up of three elaborately scrolling foliate segments. The three cumulatively based on the Viking trefoil. The form clearly referencing the earlier Viking era heart. As with many, this Christian era pendant is in fact an amulet embracing the earlier Pagan beliefs or superstitions. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored, on a modern 18” gilt neck chain and gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
