Late 9th-early 11th century AD. Good wearable size 9. Rare variation with broad flat face, 4.8mm width, hand-decorated with double bands of nubs formed by punching from the inside. Vikings exchanged rings on the pommel of the groom’s sword. Surface lightly textured from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored.
